Solids and overall patterns are the easiest to use. Here's a chance to be creative! Go ahead and match a solid with a pattern. For example, your slipcover can be from a patterned sheet with the skirt from a solid sheet. Or, if you are doing more than one piece of furniture in a room, you might coordinate solids and patterns on different pieces. Sheet manufacturers have already done all the fancy design work by creating complementary sets of patterns and solids.
Remember: Flat sheets work best, never fitted sheets.

Stripes, plaids and diagonal patterns are very tricky to match. Using these motifs makes the project difficult for a novice. |

Here's all you have to do: Iron! That's it! "Pressing" is a light pass with the iron that creases the fabric and locates the No-Sew Seam Tape on the fabric. Ironing with downward pressure and steam that makes the seam is "bonding."
You only need to iron two bonded seams to connect the side panels to the center panel. That's all!
It takes two easy ironing steps to make a seam. The end result is a seam that is adhered to the wrong side of the fabric so it cannot pull apart. It will be able to withstand even the roughest treatment. You will press the 1/2" seam allowance of one panel to itself, then place another line of tape on the turnback and bond the other panel to it. It's easy to do, too!
Iron a simple hem around the outside edge of the cover and skirts to give it a finished appearance. Beautiful!

See how easy it is! Two bonded seams and hems! That's it! Just give yourself a moment to familiarize yourself with the two techniques before you begin. |

A tailored skirt is the finishing touch to your slipcover. There is enough No-Sew Seam Tape in your No-Sew Slipcover Kit to make this style of skirt. You can dress things up even more with a formal center pleat.
All you need is a sheet and an iron. Simply cut 12" strips and seam the strips together. Hem the bottom edges.
